X4 wins at CCTE, Round 2 in Spain |

We went to the 2nd round of CCTE (Catalonian Touring Electric Championship) held in Lleida.
It was a double first time for me, I’ve never ever raced in that championship before, neither in that track, so the expectations were kind of low, although we always wanted to do great there.
Races of 2 days are always hectic, so we had to work hard on Saturday to have the car on a good place on Sunday. Baring in mind that it was más first time there, I had no ranking so I had to do qualys on the lower group, where the difference between me and other competitors where massive, which led to not making any “perfect” qualy in any of the three that we had. Anyway we could clinch a TQ in the last round that secure me the P2 for the finals.
Before the finals, to be honest, I was more worried of when to let by Luis Moreno who was behind me in P3 than if I would be able to catch P1 in front. Nevertheless I made a few setup changes that got me the edge that I needed. In the first final top 3 from qualys were incredibly close the whole race, Echarri made a mistake on the first laps handing me the lead, maintaining it until the end, claiming the first final. Luis having to settle for third.
Second final was a carbon copy in terms of pace from the three, although this time the leader didn’t make any mistakes, so I had to charge through, with a great move I made it stick and lead the race until last minute, where a contact between some backmarkers made me loose P1, ending up P2 and with all up for grabs in the third final.
Again it was a close battle, seemed like I had the edge over the other two, this time the move for the lead came in the middle of the final, having to keep Echarri in my toes for the rest of the final wasn’t easy but I made it, which gave me the overall win.
Definitely worth a try the setup that I finish the race with, the base is the setup that Luis was using the whole weekend with a little touches here and there.
